Coach MT - Headcoach
Coach MT joined the Winchester Cannons in 2019 as a forwards coach and became head coach in 2021. She began playing rugby at Denison University in 2006 and after college played with the Morris Women’s Rugby Club in NJ before moving back to Winchester. In addition to coaching with the Winchester Cannons, she is a teacher and coach at FCMS and a mom to three future rugby players.
Coach Joe
I began playing my career in 1987. Was fortunate to play with Clubs all along the Mid-Atlantic states and to be a founder of the Winchester Club. The overriding philosophy to playing and coaching is to first, instill a love for the game of rugby union for all engaged, players, parents, and supporters. Next is to focus upon the basics of play – nothing fancy, master the basics and let each players’ athletic abilities come out and finally to maintain and promote the traditions and ethos of Rugby Union: inclusion, brotherhood (or sisterhood), hard work and tough competition with fair play and respect.
